My Christmas Story The True Meaning Of Christmas
ââ¬Å"My Christmas Story: The True Meaning of Christmasâ⬠ââ¬Å"Cââ¬â¢mon Star, we can do it! Weââ¬â¢re going to win!â⬠I yelled. Weââ¬â¢re in first place, and approaching the finish line. The pounding of my horseââ¬â¢s hooves as she galloped and the flow of her beautiful white mane made me feel like a wild horse in its heard. I felt free. Then, before I knew it, the finish line was right in front of us, and- ââ¬Å"Gracie, wake up!â⬠someone yelled. I slightly opened my eyes to see who it was. There, standing by the side of my bed, was my little sister, Ryleigh. I moaned. I hate it when she wakes me up, I donââ¬â¢t know why, itââ¬â¢s just how she does it. ââ¬Å"Five more minutes,â⬠I mumbled, ââ¬Å"Iââ¬â¢m about to win.â⬠ââ¬Å"Win what?â⬠she asked. ââ¬Å"Iââ¬â¢m about to win.â⬠I repeated. ââ¬Å"Okay, winnerâ⬠¦show more contentâ⬠¦Let us know when youââ¬â¢re done and weââ¬â¢ll get the ornaments.â⬠I said. ââ¬Å"Okay, I will.â⬠he said. Then, we went to the kitchen where my mom was cooking. ââ¬Å"Good morning, Mom.â⬠I said. ââ¬Å"Good morning, sleepy head.â⬠she said. ââ¬Å"I thought you would never get up.â⬠ââ¬Å"Haha. Well, if it werenââ¬â¢t for Ryleigh, I wouldââ¬â¢ve.â⬠I laughed. ââ¬Å"Can you go ahead and get ready?â⬠she asked, ââ¬Å"We need to be at Grannyââ¬â¢s in a few hours.â⬠ââ¬Å"Sure.â⬠said Ryleigh and I. Then, my dog, Remi, came in through the doggy door and tackled me. ââ¬Å"Yes, good morning to you too hyper.â⬠I laughed, ââ¬Å"Are you hungry?â⬠She barked repeatedly. That means yes. So, I feed her and gave her water ââ¬Å"Okay, girls! Iââ¬â¢m ready!â⬠Dad called from the living room. ââ¬Å"Okay Dad!â⬠Ryleigh yelled back, ââ¬Å"Cââ¬â¢mon Gracie, letââ¬â¢s get the ornaments out. Then, when we get back, we can decorate the tree.â⬠ââ¬Å"Okay.â⬠I said. We went to the storage room and pulled out a big red container that we kept our ornaments in. We then brought it to the living room and put it beside the tree, ââ¬Å"Thanks girls. Youââ¬â¢re a big help.â⬠Dad said. ââ¬Å"No problem, Dad.â⬠Ryleigh said, ââ¬Å"Now we can get ready.â⬠We all went to our rooms to get ready. I pulled off my slippers and pajamas, put my Christmas outfit on with my Santa hat and boots, and brushed and fixed my hair. My mom even let me wear some makeup! After I was ready, I grabbed my momââ¬â¢s keys and started her car. Then, I went and grabbed the presents and the casserole and put them in the trunk.
